We are Chad and Michelle, two information technology professionals who embraced a nomadic lifestyle by becoming travelers. While I took the leap, Michelle still works to keep us from starving and to ensure we have health insurance.
We met in a cubicle farm in 2009 and began taking weekend camping trips, which eventually led to longer road trips and international adventures. We've traveled around Central America and around Europe and most recently we are exploring the United States in our (some say large) overland vehicle, a converted 2003 Stewart and Stevenson US military cargo truck. After all, if you don’t know your own backyard, how can you truly appreciate someone else’s?
Everywhere we go, locals often joke about a military invasion—there’s a story behind that!
On this site, we share our travel tips and stories about our favorite (and least favorite) places we've visited. Join us as we journey across the USA and beyond, discovering tucked-away hidden camp spots in the Pacific Northwest, the vast open plains of the Midwest, and taking walking tours around Ireland. We might even share a recipe or two from our favorite dishes.
So welcome, and thank you for checking out our little slice of the internet.
